Hard reboot steps for HPE ProLiant DL380 Generation 9
Hello Team,
A customer of ours rebooted the HPE ProLiant DL380 Generation 9 server using the command reboot. After checkign later, we found that all the LED status button in the back are showing green. However, we are not able to ssh to the server and we also tried to physicall connect a monitor to the server but it shows blank. It seems the only option we have now is to do a hard reboot. Unfortunately also we don't have ILO configured and also UID is off. please share with us steps for hard reboot of HPE ProLiant DL380 Generation 9.
Thanks

Re: Hard reboot steps for HPE ProLiant DL380 Generation 9
Hi,
To do a hard reset in your case, someone has to be near the server.
Shutdown the server, remove Power Cables, wait for two minutes then plug back and turn on the server.
