Hardware
After memory upgrade from 1 GB to 3 GB (added 2 kits 4x256MB) server have been rebooting itself with Unrecoverable Memory Error (Slot 1 Module Unknown ) and in the Event Viewer a Ssytem encounterd Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI). Can you please help?

is it compaq ram that you are using? Third party ram often does not work well with our systems and causes exactly the above issue...try moving the memory around and see if the problem persists in slot one or wether it follows the dimm that was in slot one...if it follows the dimm then you might just have a bad dimm...if it stays with the slot then try the compaq ram in that slot and if it still stays then the slot is bad..if it goes away with the compaq ram in that slot then the system does not work well with the memory you bought
