Re: Help HP ML110T01

I need to install a SATA Hard Disk on Proliant ML110T01. The server has the conector, but in BIOS i can't access and change the SATA options, it's in gray color.

I tryed download the SATA Controller and install it on Windows Instalation, but doesn't work.

Does anybody knows how to change the sata options for BIOS recognize my Hard Disk?

thanks !

Re: Help HP ML110T01

Me again,

Check the following thread from a previous issue similar to yours (just to discard the possibility):

Title: HP ProLiant ML110 Server - SATA Settings Are Disabled in the BIOS

Symptoms: ML110 server SCSI model trying to install a SATA hdd in the server. The SATA setting was disabled inside the bios and could not be enabled.

Cause: Found out the ML110 server had a 2.8 mhz, and the SATA support was released for the 3.0 mhz SATA models. This model has a 4 port sata raid controller installed instead of HP Single channel U320 hba.

Resolution/Workaround: SATA model ML110 needed.

Re: Help HP ML110T01

thanks ! can you help me a detailed explanation?

Re: Help HP ML110T01

Sure thing,

Basically the ML110 Server comes available in 3 different models: SCSI, ATA or SATA HDDs and supporting one of the following CPUs:

Intel Celeron Processor, 2.6 GHz, 128 KB L2 cache
Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 2.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache
Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 3.0 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache
Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 3.20 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache

The SATA settings will only be available on models with 3.0 GHz and 3.20 GHz processors.

So, you may wanna check your processor...

And also update your system ROM:
