Help --- Hardware sensors monitoring chip in Proliant DL320

Hi,

Anybody knows what is the chip in Proliant DL320 G2 motherboard for monitoring the hardware conditions such as CPU temperature, Fan speeds, Power voltage etc? I am using Linux and try to monitor the hardware condition by using lm_sensors package but don't know the chipset hence couldn't read from the sensors.

I just wander is there a hardware sensor chip on this motherboard or not since I can't see any measurements display during the system boot.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim:

What Linux distro are you using?

You likely need to load the health drivers.
Enjoy!

It is the "ProLiant Advanced Systems Management Controller." John is right, the component commonly called the "health driver" is what instruments it. You are best off using the entire ProLiant Support Pack for Linux as it has all of the appropriate drivers.

Thnaks for your reply. I am using Linux Enterprise 2.4.21 Red Hat. So where can I get this "health driver" and "Full Linux support package"?

Cheers,
