Help needed for install a DDR400 SDRAM in ML310

Dear all,

Is there anybody know how to install the DDR400(PC3200) 512 MB CL3 SDRAM into the ML310 system? I have updated my BIOS to D12 version but it still can't boot. If it's just simply can't support DDR400 or I need to upgrade anything? Or I need to exchange the DDR ram to DDR266 although I really don't want to. Thank you for your reply in advance.

Hello Bruce,
As per Official configuration this is what is supported as for as RAM is concerned:

DIMM REG 128MB 1.2" 301691-001
DIMM, REG, 256MB, PC2100, 1.2" 300699-001
DIMM, REG, 512MB, PC2100, 1.2" 300700-001
DIMM, REG, 1GB, PC2100, 1.2" 300701-001

First of all, thank you for your kindly reply. But the thing is that I just have a DDR400 ram at this moment and I found that the system can't support or we can say recognize the ram. Is that true and I can't install the ram at all or not?

Hello Bruce,
Unfortunately, you cannot install DDR400 in your server :(
