Help rebuilding DL140 G2 RAID 1 Array
I am hoping someone can point me to some resources for rebuilding a RAID 1 array on a DL140 G2. I have not been able to find any documentation or utilities that will help me with the process.
The controller is listed as an LSI Adapter, SAS 3000 series, 8-port with 1068 -StorPort in the Windows 2003 Server device manager. I have been able to find the driver for this card, but nothing else.
I have a few questions about rebuilding. Will I be stuck in the LSI BIOS during a rebuild? Is there a Windows utility available that would allow me to rebuild the array while the server stays up? Will the rebuild process start automatically when a new drive is inserted or does something have to be initiated from the LSI BIOS?
I would really appreciate any advice or a nudge in the right direction on this. Thanks.
