Hooking Bootstrap message

I am setting up a Windows 2000 server on a 3000R and after the BIOS boot but before the array controller boot I get the message:

"PXE-M04: Hooking Bootstrap interrupt 18h".

I also restart the system after a basic install and the system is just about to get to the logon screen when the monitor shuts off and the system stops responding, I have to power down and restart. Sometimes it boots up to the logon screen sometimes it does not.

Any ideas?

Re: Hooking Bootstrap message

That message is NOT an error... it's the NIC trying to find a boot BIOS (which isn't there and isn't an issue).

Is this an upgrade from NT 4.0 or a fresh install? What firmware is the system running on now?

Re: Hooking Bootstrap message

This is a brand new install of Windows 2000 on a Compaq 3000R system. I upgraded the BIOS to the latest firmware of 8/2000.
