Hotswap
I have Ml350 with 431 array controller, and 159 137-001 hot swappable hard drive casing, I am installing two 36.4 gb hard drives
COMPAQ model : BD036635C5. My configuration is using RAID 1
the problem is when I took one of the drives out and inserted a new one, it did not rebuild automatically, I had to reboot. Why is that, then what is the use of paying extra for the hot swap module. Can anybody help, or may be I missed something during installation. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Hotswap
One thing - hot plugging drives is NOT for "routine" use... It's only supposed to be used when needed. Also, are you sure the array was completely done when you tried this? If you had just created this system (hour or two before) it may not have been completely done with the array. One way to tell is - was it stating something about "consistency checking" when booting up?
