Hotswaps 2

Hello

Thanks for the replies on the orginal Hot swap question they helped alot. I have one further question. My Pro Liant ML 330 G3 server currently has a hard drive installed internally with an OS and so on installed. When I fit the cage and the two hard drives what happens to this disk? Does it need to become one of the disks in the cage or does it just become one of three bootable drives?

Thanks

Re: Hotswaps 2

Ben:

Your original disk will remain. You can keep it as the boot disk. The two bay hot swap drive cage fits in the Media Bays and will consume the space of two media bezel blanks, so you will still have room for one more CD-ROM/DVD or a Half Height Tape drive.
