How Fix Fault Memory Dimm Slot in DL180G6 - DL380G6?

Hi
I have a problem with Proliant Servres(dl 380 g6-or dl 180 g6) that don't detect installed memory on specific Dimm slot(for example :dimm 2-3 for core 2 in dl 180 g6)
How can I solve it?

First the usual boilerplate on being up on the latest firmware versions.

After that, if you have a known good DIMM - eg it is seen in some other slot in the same system - and you know it is seated properly in the DIMM slot, and you have checked to make certain there is no debris in the DIMM slot in question, then it is probably time to excercise your warrantee or HW support contract and call HP.

also you need to check that the DIMMs are seated in the correct slots depending on the server. You mention dimm2-3. Sometimes they have different seating like 1,3 or 2,4. There should be a description of all that inside of the case lid.

Thx for your replies; i had a problem on Dimm 1+2 for proc 2 (Dl 180 g6). i tested 1*2 gb of or dimm1 proc1 and 1*2 gb of or dimm1 proc2. but my dl 180 g6 no detect 1*2 gb for proc 2. other slot expect 1+2 for proc 2 is ok. and dl 180 had rom ver 2010.08.17

have you tried the link?
its a tool that advices you how to populate the dimm slots.

It can also advice what DIMMS to order for future expansion, but thats not what you need right now.
