How can I boot from inner scsi disk, but not a external one?

Hello, my computer is Prosignia 300 with OS NT4.0. I currently have a scsi disk connected to the system mainboard. And I wanted to install another external scsi hard disk. But after I installed aha-274x EISA adapter properly, I cannot boot from my original inner scsi disk. It seemed the new controller was detected first and external scsi disk was considered as the default C drive in the POST sequence. How can I solve this problem? I just want the external one be my data storage.

Try turning off power to the external SCSI before you boot. Turn the power back on for the external SCSI only after the POST has started.
