How can i reset my BIOS password on my dl585 g7?

i have set an administrator password yesterday and somehow i cannot get access, i must have written it wrong idk but i cant access my ilo 3 settings... how can i reset my password? thank you and have greate day!

Hello,

Here are the steps to reset the BIOS password:

1. Power down the server.

2. Remove the access panel.

3. Set position 5 of the system maintenance switch to On.

4. Replace the access panel.

5. Power up the server.

6. Boot into BIOS, this will reset the password.

7. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

8. Set position 5 of the system maintenance switch to Off.

9. Repeat steps 4 and 5.
