Hi I need floppy access on my ML110 G2. I looked at the install sheet and it says location 21 is the FDD connector. So I installed a floppy to this and a power lead from the power supply.
Then I went into the BIOS and set 1.44mb floppy enabled instead of the default that was disabled.
When I booted the Server nothing was detected. I went into device manager in Win2003 server and nothing is in there either.
I even tried manually adding it from add/remove hardware but still no joy.
This lead me to think maybe the floopy was faulty but I checked it on a spare pc and found that it is 100% ok.
Where am I going wrong. Please help.
Thanks

Solution
In the bios make sure to enable ├в Legacy floppy drive├в under the Main menu. Also ensure ├в Integrated Diskette Controller" under the Adv, I/O Device Configuration menu is enabled.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: How do I connect a floppy to ML110 server. Having major problems.
Many thanks its working no. I hadnt enabled the disk controller in the I/O section of the BIOS like you said.
I have left 10 points for your reply. I am new to this system so hope it worked ok.
Thanks
Lee
