How do i connect to iLO

Installing the psp seemed to work, but only locally... not across the network... page cannot be displayed... even with reboot...

ok if you can reboot that server try getting access to the iLO F8 on POST if you dont get the message (a message will indicate press F8 to enter iLO)

if this message does not appear it's because iLO is disabled

the point he has several models, but yes tell us this model you/re working right now...

all 6 of them have teh F8 option, and it works.

Right now i have the PSP installed and all of them have the iLO now workign locally, meaning i can go to http://127.0.0.1

but if i try to go to the ip from my station, it says page cannot be displayed.

they are ML360's ML380's etc.

Our blade servers arrive in a week and want to have this figured out.

Please pardon a stupid question but, are you connected into the iLO network connection on rear?

I've gone down that same road....only to find out the server was installed with only 1 or 2 network connections, and not a iLO connection...

yeah you can't access the iLO from other computer using 127.0.0.1 because that IP is a local IP for every PC/server...

you need to get the ip see the attached file(that pic is from my reboot F8), and when you get this IP

well basics make a ping IP

to see what happens

I think you are confusing access to the iLO management processor--which has its own network interface and IP address--with the Systems Management Homepage.

At a given server with the ProLiant Support Pack installed, https://127.0.0.1:2381 would access the SMH.

I know the 127.0.0.1 is a local address.

there is a security setting that allows access from the network that i cant find perhaps?

well go to basics again

make a simple network take a switch o hub
connect the ilo port with the device and connect a PC

enter F8 assing a static IP to the ilo - assing a IP to the Pc
try pings and load the ilo in the pc's browser


and let's see what happen

I dont if someone else has a better idea
