Hello Miguel,
Which Array controller do you have in the system?? How're you trying to install OS on your Server?? If you use Smart Start CD then you should choose Assisted method and should not encounter any problems. Just in case you need the link to download SW for your server:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/7_1123.html

If you dont have a Smart Start CD then you can order it by calling 1-800-573-1099 and request to send version 5.5.

Re: How do i get NT4 installed on a 360 G1?

Miguel,

Sunil is correct that all the drivers for the DL360 G1 are available at the link he provided. If you are not using Smartstart however, then be aware that a manual installation requires that you dowload the following driver kits and extract them to floppy. The raid controller driver is loaded when the NT4 disk boots (See below regarding pressing F6).

The network driver kit is required because NT4 incorrectly picks up the network chips as Intel models when it auto-detects. If you don't load the correct Compaq drivers it will blue-screen after the first reboot. Don't use the auto-detect method for your network card, use the "Have Disk" method and insert the correct network driver floppy disk.

If your DL360 is using the embedded raid controller on the motherboard (ROC chip) the drivers are in the HP Proliant Smart Array-2 driver kit.

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/15646.html

Your network ports use the HP Proliant NCX1XX/NCX7XX Fast Ethernet driver kit.

NOTES ON MANUALLY INSTALLING THE RAID DRIVER

If you are installing the Compaq Smart Array-2 Controllers Driver (Includes Embedded ROC Chip) for the
first time, follow these instructions:

1. If you have not already done so, copy all of the extracted Compaq Smart
Array-2 Controllers Driver files to a disk which we will refer to as
the Driver Disk.

2. Insert the Windows NT CD to begin the installation process.

3. When Windows NT Setup displays the message "Setup is inspecting your
computer's hardware configuration...," press F6. This prevents Windows
NT Setup from performing disk controller detection and allows you to
install the driver from the Driver Disk you created.

4. When Windows NT Setup displays the message "Setup could not
determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in
your system, or you have chosen to manually specify an adapter,"
press S to display a list of supported SCSI host adapters.

5. Select Other from the bottom of the list.

6. Insert the Driver Disk you made when prompted to do so, and select
Compaq Smart Array-2 Controllers Driver from the list.

7. Press Enter and continue the installation of Windows NT.

I hope this helps,

Brian
