How do they compare?
Hi All,
In our company we do use 2xC8500,4xPIII Xeon/700,2Gb mem, 9 spindels servers as Exchange MTA's. There is very often queueing on these MTA's. We are pretty sure it's because the performance of these servers isn't enough anymore for the amount of mail they need to proces(sorry, no figures for this case).
We do have the opportunity to replace them with 2x2,7 GHZ met 512 cache, 2Gb mem, 3 spindels Exchange servers.
Can someone tell me if this would give us a (big) performance increase in terms of MTA processing? In other words: should it be worth considering to replace the old servers with this ones?
Thanks for any reply!
GRz. Johan
