'How to Test a COM Port on a ProLiant' or 'what devices are supported on a ProLiant serial Port'

Hello,

can anybody tell me, which devices are supported at least which devices should be found by Microsoft on a Serial Port or how can i test the functionality of the serial port. I know Smart Start provides a Hardware Test for Serial Connection, but it never shows an Error.

May u'Ve any ideas how to check the functionality of the serial port.

because we want to connect also devices which are not listed in the quickspecs.
