Hello,
Pardon my total noob question here, but I'm doing my best to help a friend out of jam and this is not my area of expertise at all. I've also searched all over for this answer, to the best of my ability, but I have not found the answer.
So here's the situation:
My friend has a ProLiant ML350 G2 with 1.5GB of RAM that is installed in the 4 slots like: 1GB, 256MB, 2x128MB.
We want to remove the 2x128MB and install 2x1GB.
And my questions are:
1. Is changing RAM in this machine like changing RAM in a regular old PC, or is there something special I should know about this?
2. Is there anything special I have to do to power down this system before opening it up?
Thanks for your help in advance!!!
All the best,
Steve

Solution1. Is changing RAM in this machine like changing RAM in a regular old PC, or is there something special I should know about this?
> Exactly the same like a PC
2. Is there anything special I have to do to power down this system before opening it up?
> Nope , just a graceful shutdown should do, Install 1Gb first and then add 256Mb

Re: How to Upgrade ProLiant ML350 G2 RAM
Thanks for help on this and the other issue, Goutham.
I successfully upgraded the RAM for this machine yesterday.
