How to change SCSI throughput on a LSI Ultra320

I have a HPDL380 running Windows 2003 with a LSI Ultra320 SCCI Host adaptor. I need to change the sync transfer rate to 160. Does anyone know how to do this?

Re: How to change SCSI throughput on a LSI Ultra320

thanks but unfortunately the LSI instructions only relate to HP-UX servers, it doesn't appear to be able to be done otherwise.

The card is supposed to auto-negotiate however I have experienced 3 of these cards not auto negotiating and others have had the same problem.

thanks for your time anyway.

Re: How to change SCSI throughput on a LSI Ultra320

I rectified the problem with by putting both tape drives onto separate scsi cards.

HP have stated that the LSI Ultra320 SCSI card will automatically set the transfer rate but it doesn't appear to work as multiple posts to this forum would indicate.

I pointed HP to this site but haven't heard anything back from them.

I also had the issue at another site and this was also resolved by using two cards.

Possibly a marketing technique being used by HP ;-)
