I would like to replace the default video card on a server Proliant 400 (max 800x600...) by a video card with better resolution (3D Prophet on the AGP slot). When I insert the card in the slot without changing anything, no more boot. When I turn ON the the switch 1 on the server board before, same result.
Sorry for a such "basic" question but I did not find the solution in the online books nor in the forum.

I'll try your solution but il's not so easy to find a PCI video car in 2004 ;-)
Last question: no solution flashing the bios via Internet?

SolutionA: No, Compaq never released an on-line version of the bios update on this system; only the diskette version. Sorry, you will have to be present at the console.
