How to exchange the Raid Card

I have a 5302 Raid Card (one Raid5 having 5 Disks)
If the raid card failed how can I replace the raid card
(I wonder how I save raid configuration inforamtion)

Re: How to exchange the Raid Card

The array configuration information is stored on the drives. All you should have to do is swap it out. If it's the same type of controller with the same or later firmware revision installed, then it should work fine.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: How to exchange the Raid Card

Even if it wasn't the same card, and let's say a 64xx series... as stated, the Array config is stored on the drives so the controller would read it, set the configuration and give you access to the array/logical drives.

Most/All newer Smart Array Controlelrs are backwards compatible with most older Smart Array controller configurations.
