How to find out the serial number from a DL180 (Linux)

Hello,
is there a possibility to find out remotly the serial number from a DL180 linux server?
From commandline, or remotly from another (RedHat) Linux server or Windows XP?

On the DL180 ILO I can't see the serial number, on DL360 etc. I think there is the serial number visible.

Thanks!

Hello, Dark-Star,

According to this manual /http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02063205/c02063205.pdf/

In case you're still using the DEFAULT settings on the LO100 network settings, you will be able to find it:

1. Login to the LO100
2. Go to Network Settings
3. DNS Host Name├п┬г┬зDisplays the host name set by user, defaulted to lo100.

Thanks for this,
I also saw this number.

But I'm shure there must be another possibility to find out the serial number from a command line.

It's not shure that the extention (ser.No.) in "DNS Host Name:" is really correct and not changed manually.

dmidecode works, thanks a lot!

But is there really no other command (commandline interface from HP, additional software-pack ?) to get the serial number?
