How to ghost a BL25p

Hi,

I would like to make an image of a BL25p.
We have Norton Ghost 8 and we get a read error at the beginning of the ghost image creation.

Which product could be use for that ?
Or where can I find the RAID DOS drivers for BL25p ?

Thanks
Regards

Re: How to ghost a BL25p

Hi ML,

For the Dos drivers check the follwoing link:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?threadId=318768

But the best Method will be to use RDP.

You could download the RDP from the follwoing link:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HP-RDP

Check the following Rapid Deployment Pack - Windows Edition 3.10 User Guide Chapter 2 Using the Rapid Deployment Pack:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00776238/c00776238.pdf

For more information on RDP:

Raj.

Re: How to ghost a BL25p

Thanks, but my problem is not to deploy many servers.
It's for testing purpose.

I configured a Linux server, and now I will experiment some configuration.

I would like to be able to come back, using a disk image, before starting to experiment.

Thanks

Re: How to ghost a BL25p

You need the DOS SCSI SUpport Disk
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/7599.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
and add SMRTSCSI.sys to your Ghost disk and then add to the config.sys on the ghost disk. This will give you support on SMART SCSI Array controller for accessing logical drives, if that is what you have for a controller

Re: How to ghost a BL25p

Hello,
Thanks for this information, but the BL25p series are not in the systems supported list.

I heard that HP will not provide any more the MS-DOS drivers.

As far as I know, DL 380 was the last server with a supported MS-DOS driver. We can ghost a DL380, not a BL25p.
