How to install Oracle Linux 7.1 on HP DL 160 G9
Hi, would HP provide a step-by-step installation guide for Oracle Linux 7.1 on DL 160 G9? I'm trouble:
1) to identify storage (seems Oracle Linux see individual drivers instead my Raid 1 virtual disk)
2) cannot connect network during install (eno1 is not wired - but it is!)
3) default graphics install makes video weird, like a StarWars entrance story tell...
Your help will ge greatly appreciated.
Edson

I've discovered - but it is almost useles. B140i is a fake controller, I would not reccomend anyone to do that.
As said in RedHat web site, disable the controller, and use Linux Raid.

As are pretty much all chipset SATA RAID controllers. The only advantage of the B140i series is it actually uses the RAID stack of the 'P' series Smart Array controllers which allows the drives to be moved to a faster controller or another system with a 'P" series controller.
Gernerall recomendation for Linux is to use SW RAID. Information here will show you how to setup SW RAID 1 and make both drives bootable
