How to install fedora 28 on HP server proliant ML30 Gen9
Hello,
I would like to install Fedora 28 on ML30 Gen9, but when using the intelligent provisioning I don't see Fedora as supported operating system, and when I try to boot from Fedora CD it stucks and does not recognize the raid controller.
is there a way to go around the options of supported systems ?
Thank you in advance
HC

Re: How to install fedora 28 on HP server proliant ML30 Gen9
Assuming you are using the embedded chipset disk controller, go into RBSU and change the controller mode from B140i RAID to AHCI SATA. You can then install the OS without using Intelligent Provisioning.
If you are using the optional P440 or H240 controllers the OS should have the required 'hpsa' driver. In the case of the P440 you will need to create an array before a logical drive will be presented to the OS
