Re: How to load XP home on Proliant ML370
Unfortunatelly XP will not work on ProLiants since none of our drivers were made to work with said OS In order for you to confirm what I'm saying you can go to this page: http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/458915-0-0-0-121.html
And if your server is a G1 in this page are the drivers for every supported OS
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/1119.html?submit.y=0&submit.x=0тМй=en&cc=us
Now if you still want to try XP you have to create the a RAID and then a logical drive, once that is created the Installation will be able to see the drives therefore no drivers are needed, however I'm 100% sure you'll get BSOD during the installation and if it finishes you'll have OS errors and a lot of boot errors as well.

Re: How to load XP home on Proliant ML370
Don't give up just yet with XP. The Windows 2000 driver kit you originally downloaded is missing the TXTSETUP.OEM file. Compaq realised this later and issued a fix including the missing file but it isn't well advertised.
I have attached the zip file you need to this reply.
Try it and see if it allows you to load the 431 driver properly this time and see the attached disks.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info but it still didn't work. Same result...didn't recognize the drive. Steve
