How to monitor disk health

I have 2 proliant ML350 servers. Both servers are setup as SCSI Raid-5, spanning 3 disks each.
I'm interested in learning about how I can "proactively" monitor the hard disks for problems.

I'm aware of the HP Array Diagnostics Utility, but as best as I understand it, this utility does not provide a method to alert me, via email for example, of potential disk problems, such as excessive bad blocks, or worse a disk going bad.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Do you have Insight Manager installed on the network? That can alert you at the first sign of a problem.

Re: How to monitor disk health

I have "HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition" and also "HP System Management Homepage".

I'm not sure if this is it, but I cant access either because they're password protected. I tried using the Windows Administrator credentials but it doesnt apparently like those.

Is this the software or do I need to obtain and install something else?
