How to replace hot swapable Harddidk with used HDD
Hi All,
i have RAID 50 configured and now one haddisk is failed so i want to replace it but i dont have new HDD with same size, can i put used harddisk which has old server data? is it possible or do i need to get new HDD?
HP Proliant DL 380 G7

Generally you can repace a failed disk with one of a larger size. If the disk contains old array information it can cause problems.

Yes, if you remove the old array information you won't have any issues
