Hi,
If it is Hardware raid, you need to configure your RAID controller and for software mirror, LVM on RedHat will help you configure.

You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know

Re: How to setup Raid 1?

Can I use the bootable CD that came with my DL-140 to raid the two IDE_ATA drives? There used to be a SmartStart CD that came with each server, has it been replaced by this HP ProLiant DL140 server - Startup, Ducumentation and Utilities CD (one only)?

Thanks!

Re: How to setup Raid 1?

The DL140 Doesnt support ATA-RAID. It doesnt support internal SCSI disks either, so the only ways to get raid on your system is software RAID (not supported by HP) or a smart array controller with external SCSI drives
