How to syncronize a RAID 1 on a HP 8 INTERNAL PORT SAS 64/133 PCI-X RAID HOST BUS

Hi guys!

I have this HP 8 INTERNAL PORT SAS 64/133 PCI-X RAID HOST BUS ADAPTER, one of the System HDDs configured as RAID 1 failed.

I got the new HDD and installed it but the RAID 1 doesn't syncronize automatically.

Do you know how to resynconize it?

Thanks,

Javier

Can you tell the server model and OS?

Hope this helps!

Re-build should happen automatically. It is possible that there was a spare configured and that has already taken over the place of failed disk. Then the new disk will be hotspare. You can verify the status with ADU (Array Diagnostic Utility) which comes part of HP tools for this raid card.

Rebuild is not automatic in this controller model, in fact there is not an utility like ACU or ADU for monitoring and diagnosing this model.

That's the problem.
