How to tell if Battery Backup Write Cache is installed? DL380 G4

I've been assigned to manage 6 of these Proliant DL380 G4 servers. Still learning a lot about them.

Wondering how I can find out if optional things are installed? Things like:

- Backup Battery Write Cache for the 6i SCSI controller
- PCI-X Hot-plug / non-Hot-plug cage
- Dual Channel Drive Backplane

Thanks!

hi

- Backup Battery Write Cache for the 6i SCSI controller

-> running an ADU report (array diagnostic utility) report

- PCI-X Hot-plug / non-Hot-plug cage
-> I don't get it you are talking about the you must check with this
look for PCI section
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12028_div/12028_div.HTML#Standard%20Features

if you got "PCI-X Hot Plug Riser (Optional)"
you will have 3 more PCI-X that the original configuration

if you got "PCI Express Non-Hot Plug Riser "
you will get 2 more PCI-E instead of PCI-X
you can check this running a survey using hp insight diagnostics or using system Management homepage (PCI Devices)

- Dual Channel Drive Backplane
-> maybe you mean simplex or duplex configuration it can physically in the servers it must an scsi terminator when there is a duplex configuration

more information about that here
