How to update DL360p G8 BIOS via iLO
Hi,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide on how to update a DL360p G8 BIOS via iLO?
iLO states that it can update system rom, but the only download I can find for this server is an online flash update. Within the downloaded file is an EE1 file which | guess is the BIOS, but want to to confirm if I can simply upload this via iLO before I end up bricking the server.
Thanks
Eds

My bet you can't update BIOS firmware through iLO.

CPQP7112.EE1 is the binary firmware image file for your server. Upload this image to iLO

Re: How to update DL360p G8 BIOS via iLO
Was this issue ever resolved? I have a DL380p G8 and ILO 2.54. I am unable to update bios through the ILO firmware update page using Chrome version 60.0.3112.101 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I receive the error message:
The last firmware update attempt was not successful. Ready for the next update.
Screen caps attached.

The original poster was asking a question, not really reporting an issue. I use Chrome to upload ROM updates via iLO on a regular basis. How did you extract the binary image file?
