How to update homelab server (DL380 G5)
I have a homelab server that is running ESXi 5.1u1 and haven't updated the bios and any firmware since I bought it. I was wondering how can I upgrade the BIOS since I would need a warranty to download the bios from the HP support website? I'm willing to pay for it if needed.

I would consult HP Support, if I were you.

Re: How to update homelab server (DL380 G5)
That server has been out of production for several years. If you have never updated any of the firmware and have not had any issues, I'd be of the mindset 'if it isn't broke, don't fix it'.
If you really want to update, you can call HPE and purchase a service contract that will allow you access to the firmware files.
