Hp DL380 GEN 8 has blinkling Power light and won't boot

I have a Hp DL380 GEN8. I wanted to reset the bios so I unplugged the server, open the lid and removed the system battery for 30 secs. I put the battery back in, closed the lid plus the power cords back in. I push the power button and all it does is blink green and will not go into boot mode(nothing happens). Is there a special power up sequence when the system battery is removed?
