Hp Proliant Ml370 G3 slow disk
we have a Hp proliant server . Its our fileserver. It have RAID1 and RAID5. The users say that its very slow. I have installed de HD-tune to check the disk, and the reports say Average-trasfer-rate=4MB/sec.
Other proliant servers have 90-180MB/sec.
Can you help me?
Thanks

Re: Hp Proliant Ml370 G3 slow disk
Seems my scrying sphere isn't working...
(Hellfire & Perriwinkle's ProSight 500t)
Is this a 'system wide' problem?
(Both RAIDs)
Have you checked that all HDDs are GOOD?
(Insight manager, listening for grinding noises... HP Array diagnostics... )
It's also possible that it's an OS issue.
Which OS?
How much RAM is in the server?
My guess is that you have a dud drive or a controller with a serious issue, but without details all we can do is guess.

Re: Hp Proliant Ml370 G3 slow disk
The "array configuration utility say it´s correct", and nothing of noise
It´s have windows 2003 R2 (3G of RAM).
When i look task manager... 1%CPU usage, RAM OK..I think OS it´s ok.
It´s posible the problem is cable, or motherboard?
tranks all
