Hp dl 380 g7 stuck on hp proliant logo after cache module swap

So I swapped the cache module from a 512mb to a 1gb module in my dl380 g7 as the battery died and swelled and upon putting the new one in I'm stuck on the hp Proliant logo with the led on the motherboard showing CR4 and CR5 lit. As far as I can tell this says an operation is in progress on the p410i but I've left it for half hour now no change with no drives plugged in either. Any ideas anyone I tried plugging the old cache module in again but same thing.

Have you checked by unplug the new cache and battery from controller?

Yes and with minimal ram and cpu and reset bios.

Yeah I moved switch 6 to on which is nvram clear but it just does the same thing. If changing a cache card can kill a server im moving to Dell.

Did you try to remove the cache memory from its slot and then turn on the server?
