HpCISSs2 errors - Slow server - [DBNETLIB] errors
Hi Guys
Got a customer with quite a few HpCISSs2 events in the servers System Event log. The events appear at random times... We suspect these events are causing the clients to experience [DBNETLIB] errors, which basically disconnects them from their SQL server. They only have one server, a Proliant Ml350 G5 running Windows SBS 2003. They are using an embedded E200i raid controller with seven 2.5тАЭ SAS drives in RAID 1 and RAID 5 configurations.
Has been working like a dream up until the last few months.
Have applied all the latest Firmware updates v9.30 and applied the latest PSP v8.70. No improvement!
Results from running the HP Insight Diagnostics produce a clean bill of health for the drives....
Having searched the web (as you do), the HpCISSs2 error appears to be related to a faulty hard drive or hard drive controller? The drive models currently installed are
Array1
HP DH072ABAA6
HP EH072FARUA
Array2 (SQL installed on this array..)
HP DG0146FARVU
HP DG146BB976
Array3
EG0300FAWHV
EG0300FAWHV
EG0300FAWHV
Hopefully someone out there may be able to isolate the cause to a specific component.
Any advice or recommendation welcome.
Thanks
Mike
