Hung in Proliant ML570 G2 w2k3 when install the SP1

I've a Proliant ml 570 G2 with w2k3 and i seek to upgrade it to SP1 ( and if it is possible to R2 ). The w2k3 installation lapses without problem. But when i update to SP1 the w2k3 it is hung during the start. Any ideas?

thanks for your help Daniel and I will tell you that I only want to install the w2k3 Sp1 R2 in my Proliant ML570 G2 to transform it in a file server.

can something have to see in the hung the fact that my array controller is 'Smart Array 640x Controller'?
(My level BIOS is P32 - 8/06/03)

Well #1 that bios is out of date:
