Hyper Threading on DL360 G2
Is there an option to turn off Hyper Threading on Compaq ProLiant DL360 G2? We use these servers for Citrix Metaframe XP and run Windows 2000 Server, looking at the Citrix Forums it is recommended to Turn off Hyper Threading on Windows 2000 Server. This is supposed to be a BIOS setting but i can not see it.
Can anyone suggest anything?
Regards
Jeff

Re: Hyper Threading on DL360 G2
As long as the "G2" is not a typo, you will not find hyperthreading at all.
Hyperthreading was introduced first with the Pentium IV.
The DL360 G2 was only available with Pentium III-S Processors up to 1.4 GHz, providing no hyperthreading.
The DL 360 G3 has Pentium IV processors.

Re: Hyper Threading on DL360 G2
Jeff - Thilo is correct in that the G2 does not support hyperthreading. However, if you did make a mistake referring to the G2 instead of the G3, you can turn hyperthreading off by entering the ROM BASED SET UP (RBSU) utility (pressing the F9 key during POST). The setting you need to change is the "Processor Performance" setting. Hope this helps.
