Hyper-v %& hpncu; teaming NICs creates ipv6 duplication

I'm running Hyper-V on three BL460G5 blades with Server 2008 r2.

I currently use HPNCU for NIC teaming.

I have a few VMs in place for testing IPv6, and unfortunately it looks as though they are picking up their own address as a duplicate.

So far the network group has pointed out that the IPv6 address is only assigned to the one VM, and in turn, can only be getting the duplication error from its self.

Has anyone experienced anything similar / have a way to fix this other than disabling NIC teaming?

thanks for the information

I see the latest NCU Version: 10.20.0.0 (B) (12 Jan 2011) which seems to have fixed few issue around the same topic.

and the latest NIC driver
6.0.22.0 (15 Dec 2010)

You may update these then try...

else

disable the TOE and RSS from network properties and from device manager before creating the team to see if it makes any difference...

thanks

A coworker found an alternative workaround,
setting DAD to 0 under IPv6 configuration.

As above.
