Hyperthreading

Is it possible to enable the Hyperthreading for a DL580 within the OS (w2k). I'm searching for a solution which allows me to enable the Hypertreading within the OS and activate this setting after the next reboot.

Hi

Hyperthreading option is available on the BIOS and need to be enabled there. Not sure if it is in the OS since this is not controlled by the OS.

yes HT is bios staff. Your OS will see CPU X2 after that. As I now you can not activate HT from Windows or other OS.
You shoud restart server and interact in RBSU to change HT - /yes/no.

You need this extra if you use app that are multi threading.

If it is a 580 Generation 1 - there is no hyperthreading support.
