IBM Director and HP Insight Manager
We currently are a mixed shop with HP Priliant servers running HP Insight manager and IBM xseries servers running IBM Director agents. We realize we can use one or the other to monitor each others server. We are wanting run both IBM Director and HP's Insight manager on the same server.
Has anyone done this, or experianced issues with running a single server this way?

Re: IBM Director and HP Insight Manager
Please note that there is a separate set of forums for Insight Manager 7: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=266 and HP Systems Insight Manager: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=455
It is un-tested and I would say not recommended. Even if they could co-exist peacefully, both are particularly disk and memory intensive. The two might also bottleneck the NIC port and that doesn't even take into account contention over SNMP.

Re: IBM Director and HP Insight Manager
I agree and appreciate your followup and confirmation. We already understood that would probably be the issue, but wanted to hear otehr comments to validate. Thanks
