IDE Driver on a Proliant Ml350

We need more space in the server, we install a 60GB IDE driver but the server recognice it as driver C:
The problem is that the server has a Array controler 431 with 4 SCSI drivers already installed and working. When the sistem recognice the 60GB IDE driver it start looking for the OS, but the OS is on the SCSI drivers.

How can I install the IDE Driver and make it a extra driver with letter F: and boot from the Array.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Re: IDE Driver on a Proliant Ml350

Hello Javier,
The IDE controller you have on the server is for CDROM only. Since your CDROM is first in the boot controller order that's the reason your system is trying to boot from their. To be able to install IDE HDDs in your system you would require a third party ATA IDE controller in your system. Please have a look at the specs of ML350 and you will see that it does not have ATA IDE controller for the drives.

I hope this helps.
