IDE Hard Disc on DL380

Hi all,

on the description of the motherboard there is one connector under the connector for the cd-rom device (14) which is not descripted.
Is this an IDE-Connector? I urgently need to place an IDE HD to safe asap data.

Hello Thomas,
Assuming you have a first generation DL380 the connector you have mentioned is reserved. In the past some folks tried to use it as IDE controller which did not work and they ended up installing a third party IDE controller to install IDE hard drive in the system.
