This should be an easy one, our company server has been up and running fine for a year but whoever set it up never plugged in the ILO. I ran a new cat 5, plugged it in, I see activity on the switch, I just need to know how to find the IP to log into the ILO console. It isn't listed in Network Adaptors.

Solution
If you have DHCP your ILO will receive IP address from DHCP, check your DHCP server for something like "ilo-server-serial-number".
If you don't have DHCP read pages 18-19 of ILO manual to set IP.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00209014/c00209014.pdf
After you have IP open browser and write ILO IP address. Default login is "Administrator"
(capital A - very important !), the password you can find on the label on the server top.

Re: ILO Setup
Thanks IGOR! We run Win SBS 2k3 and use it as our dhcp server. I'mm not sure if there is a DHCP Client Table feature, I'll have to look around.
