ILO Subnet Migration

We are in the middle of an overhaul of our backbone, and as part of this, we will be migrating our ILO VLAN to another subnet. The network part is easy, simply create the VLAN and DHCP scopes and roll it out. However, there are over 150 ILO devices in this subnet, so I'm looking for a way to avoid having to log into each ILO, reset the NIC, move the uplink to another switch in the new VLAN, and wait for the NIC come back online and pull a new IP from DHCP in the new VLAN.

Even a way to reset the ILO interface from a Terminal Services session on that server itself so bad (assuming I don't need to install software). Going to each system and doing a reboot, F8, and reset won't work, as we could never get that done during our 3 hour window.

Any suggestions on a way to massively migrate ILO connections?

Thanks in advance.

Don't think that will work too well.

Re: ILO Subnet Migration

Assuming you have the ProLiant Support Pack installed, you can...

a) access the Systems Management Homepage on the host to reset the iLO
b) force a reset of iLO using HPONCFG from the host to modify a network setting temporarily and then change it back
c) force a reset of iLO by upgrading its firmware using the Component Pack from the host or using the Version Control Agent
