ILO does not work

I am a newbie to HP server. Now I have two DL180 G5.
I set the IP address, Net MASK and gateway address to their ILOs.
After test, they both worked well.
But the second day, both two iLO not work any more.
Ping iLO IP will get no response even I ping from the DL180 itself.
Is there any one know the reason or meet the same problem.
Any help will be appreciated very much.

Re: ILO does not work

Have you rechecked the ILO configuration? i guess the configuration is the issue in this case. Check it one by one.

Re: ILO does not work

Thanks for your reply.

After the first time configuration, no one touched it.

The setting is like Below

DHCPã IP Source [static]
IP Address [192.168.1.8]
Subnet Mask [255.255.255.0]
Default Gateway [192.168.1.1]
BMC Ping Response [Enable]

After configuration, I even loged into its ILO web page, http://iLOip

But the second day, I did not know what happened, We could only get ping with no response.

I check its configuration many times.
But get no hint.

Re: ILO does not work

After configuration of iLO, I loged into it with IE and tried to SHUTDOWN & REBOOT the DL180 from iLO page. It just worked fine.
But from the next day, I have never gotten any response from it by ping.

Re: ILO does not work

Please check the configuration on both the ilo. I suspect that you should have provided same IP to both the ILO. If that is the case then it will not work. Check if there is any IP conflict with any other machine.

Check if the switch port is enabled or hung for some reason.

If any of the above is not working, and if the server is under warranty please log a complaint with your regional HP support.

Re: ILO does not work

Also check if you are accessing the ILO from a system that is on the same network.

say your ILO is on 192.168.1.8 and your desktop is on 172.16.2.1 then they are another network and will not communicate without a valid NAT in the router.
