ILO report the wrong temperature value (0 instead of N/A)

Hi,

I use hphealth (hpasmcli) under linux to manage / monitor my Proliant ML310G8 server.

The Threshold of the POWER SUPPLY BAY is reported wrongly:

Sensor   Location                           Temp           Threshold

#17       POWER_SUPPLY_BAY     27C/80F    0C/32F

it should be:

Sensor   Location                           Temp           Threshold

#17       POWER_SUPPLY_BAY     27C/80F    NA/32F

This cause hpasm to detect a failure (27°C insted of 0°C) and to shutdown the server

Here's the full output:

hpasmcli> show temp
Sensor   Location              Temp       Threshold
------   --------              ----       ---------
#1        AMBIENT              23C/73F    42C/107F

Re: ILO report the wrong temperature value (0 instead of N/A)

You need to call HP support and log a case.

Have you tried upgrading the System ROM as well? The System ROM gives iLO the configuration of the system, including the list of sensors and thresholds so, the issue could be ROM related.
