ILO4 will not update (from 2.0)
HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8. ILO4 is version 2.0. I'm trying to update it to 2.61.
If I do it through the local Windows install, it sits at "The installation is being performed...." for a good 45 minutes, then quits with an error along the lines of "upload failed".
If I do it through the ILO interface itself, the upload is incredibly slow, and times out after 12% or so.
One possibly relevant thing to note (and the reason we are trying to updated it) is that the ILO is very very sluggish. The web interface is abnormally slow to respond and even simple SNMP requests to it frequently time out. We of course tried a complete factory reset (no change).

Re: ILO4 will not update (from 2.0)
First I would try to pull the power plugs, then look into the ILO diagnostics page - all green?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
