INCRASE THE RAM
hi to all
In my job I have a hp proliant ml370 G5,it is 4 g RAM ,we download into it windows server 2003,sql server 2003 and other big software.
When I check the cpu usage it is all the time more than 90% which is very danger,
So my question is if I increase the RAM up to 8 g ,does the upgrade will decrease the CPUusage?
thanks

Not really. What is the current memory utilization? Does your server swap heavily to disk? Adding memory might help but not much unless the cpu is spending a lot of time doing memory paging/swapping.

Re: INCRASE THE RAM
It does not look like a memory problem. You need to look at the processes that consume a lot of CPU. Maybe it is normal for your environment, "SQL server 2003 and other big software" probably need all that CPU resource.
